Volunteer Opportunities
The Ferrell lab offers various types of volunteer positions to college
undergraduates and high school students. Volunteering in the Ferrell
lab is an excellent opportunity to get hands on laboratory experience
and learn cutting edge lab techniques. Most of our previous volunteers
have learned PCR, fluoresence-based DNA sequencing, RFLP genotyping, and
fluoresence-polarization (FP) genotyping. Those interested in applying
for a volunteer position should contact the Human Genetics Departmental
office at (412)-624-3020.
