The Human Genetics Journal Club meets weekly on Fridays, from 4-5pm in A215 Crabtree Hall and provides a relaxed environment for students, postdocs and faculty to discuss research articles of interest.

The Human Genetics Seminar is held on Fridays from 12 - 1 in A115 Crabtree Hall and provides a forum for invited speakers to come and present their research

The Statistical Genetics Journal Club meets every other week on Wednesdays, from 1:30-2:30 in A311 Crabtree Hall (the Human Genetics Conference Room) and provides a relaxed environment for students, postdocs and faculty in Statistical Genetics to discuss research articles of interest.

The Department of Human Genetics holds a yearly retreat for all faculty, staff, and students in September of each year at the University of Pittsburgh's Pymatuning laboratory of Ecology.
